Information we collect

Depending on how you use the store and the services you select, we may collect information including:

• your name, email address and telephone number;
• billing and delivery information, including address and postcode;
• order references, products, quantities, selected options and payment status;
• product identifiers, serial numbers or Bulldog key information where this is required for a product, key or registration service;
• customer-account information, including your verified email address and securely hashed password information;
• delivery, carrier and tracking information;
• customer-service communications;
• your optional marketing preference; and
• limited technical and security information used to protect accounts and the website from misuse.

Why we use your information

We use personal information where necessary to operate the Bulldog Secure Store and provide the products or services you request. This includes:

• creating, processing and delivering orders;
• providing customer accounts and order history;
• administering product, key and registration services;
• answering customer and product-support queries;
• sending transactional messages such as order confirmations, account verification and dispatch information;
• preventing fraud, abuse and unauthorised account access;
• maintaining business, accounting and legal records; and

Our lawful bases

Depending on the purpose, we process personal information because it is necessary to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request, because we have a legal obligation, because we have a legitimate interest in securely operating and improving the store, or because you have given consent for a genuinely optional activity such as marketing.

Marketing communications

Marketing emails are separate from order, account, security and customer-service messages. Where we ask for marketing consent, the choice is optional and is not pre-selected.

If you have a customer account, you can change your email-marketing preference from My Account. You may withdraw marketing consent or opt out at any time. This does not stop service messages needed to administer your account or orders.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. Where necessary to provide the store and fulfil orders, information may be shared with carefully selected service providers and partners, including:

• payment providers such as Stripe;
• website, database and security infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare;
• transactional email providers such as Brevo;
• Royal Mail, UPS or another delivery carrier;
• manufacturers or fulfilment partners where this is necessary to manufacture or supply your Bulldog product or service;
• professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

We provide only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we require appropriate protections to be used in accordance with applicable UK data-protection law.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing services, handling warranty and support matters, complying with accounting or legal obligations, resolving disputes and maintaining appropriate security records.

Different types of information may therefore have different retention periods. When information is no longer required, it is deleted, anonymised or otherwise securely disposed of where appropriate.

Customer-account passwords are not stored as plain text. Account sessions use secure browser cookies, and email ownership must be verified before an account can access historical orders linked to that address.

The store uses technologies that are necessary to provide functions you request. For example, the basket uses browser storage to remember items you add, and a signed-in customer account uses a secure session cookie.

Strictly necessary technologies are used only for functions such as the basket, account security, checkout and website operation.

If we introduce analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies or similar technologies, they will be controlled through the site's cookie choices and will not be enabled before the required permission has been obtained.
